About the print: 

This is a professionally printed giclee produced from one of my drawings. The print is made with UV pigmented inks that are 
lightfast and durable, rated to last 150-200 years. The artwork is printed on white, fine art 210 g/m2 matte watercolor paper by 
Hahnemuhle . The paper is acid-free with 50% rag. It has a natural white finish with a slightly-structured soft-textured surface. 
There is a 1" border around all four edges of the artwork, allowing for easy matting and framing.


About the artwork:

This elaborately detailed drawing is part of my Deep Thinkers series, in which various animals are juxtaposed with evidence of human thought, in the form of mathematical equations, quotes, definitions, musical scores, etc. These pieces depict a zen-like transcendent bridge between conceptual thinking and animalistic consciousness. These two contrasts are united by a careful use of color and decorative design. This piece depicts a sulfur-crested cockatoo grandly posed before a series of ancient solar system models. The use of color and design in this piece lends the bird a regal quality. He has the air of an explorer, one who has travelled far and seen much. This artwork is entirely hand-drawn using Prismacolor colored pencils.
