This is
an original trompe l'oeil painting of American currency, a
silver key, and a United States Senate
pencil which are mysteriously attached to a piece of cardboard.
The title and subject matter refer to the numerous secrets
and scandals that continually plague the government. For my
own amusement, I gave "Honest Abe" a deliberately
bored pout, in part to demonstrate that the prevalence of
trickery in politics is so commonplace that it's become backpage
news for the man on the bill who has seen it all.
