My spiritual art represents my ongoing self-exploration
through an examination of my cross-cultural identity,
philosophical affinities, and world travels. These pieces
are usually done in a style I have termed Composite
Realism, in which disparate elements are juxtaposed
in unexpected ways to produce a holistic composition
that embodies some aspect of my spiritual being.
I am always seeking
connections between things -
between ideas, events, objects, histories, narratives,
locations. By finding connections, differences are
no longer threatening - instead they serve to augment
a sense of wholeness and unity. In these pieces,
various elements are plucked from my consciousness
and put together in ways that demonstrate and
celebrate the underlying unity of all things.
