This whimsical little painting depicts a photorealistically painted head of a sheep with an abstract body made of several layers of bubbly colors... kind of like a funky retro sweater! The background is painted in a contemporary wabi-sabi aesthetic, embodying the traditional Japanese aesthetic of appreciating things that are impermanent, imperfect, and incomplete. The text comes from a dictionary definition for theoretical, theoretician, and theoretics. The dictionary definition is enlarged so that you can't really read too much of it, but there's enough there that you get the gist. All the words that do show are rather abstract in meaning. I painted the words in with black and then went over them with a metallic copper. The picture below show how nice the copper looks when reflecting the light.
