This highly textured abstract painting glows with a soft serenity. The sumptuous color fields are accented with a few carefully painted forms that blend to form a sense of exotic intrigue. There are several touches of iridescent hues painted into the grooves that were carved into the painting - the metallic copper in the pair of swirls near the bottom, the shimmery pink in the two swooping lines separating the violet from the blue, and the iridescent white in the squares at the top. The 1.5" thick edges of this painting are also textured and shaded with a dark purple hue, making this painting a 3-dimensional work of art that is intended to be hung without a frame.
