This painting
was the first in what was to become a series of funky, geometric
abstracts in which whimsical patterns and luscious color cause
the eye to bounce around the surface in a visual feast. Like
most innovations, this style came about by accident and represented
a breakthrough for me in methodology and design. Many of my
ensuing abstracts are hybrids of this original style, which
I am still experimenting with to this day.
